CONSUCOL has worked with the operator of the Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil providing technical and operational support services for the process of citizen registration and electoral biometrics in the departments of Nariño and Chocó during 2023. The biometric process consists of verifying the identity of voters through the information system and at each voting station before exercising their right to vote. For this task, a technical staff was hired in the municipalities and 1,000 people were hired to carry out the process. Additionally, training, hiring and deployment of leaders, coordinators and field enrollers; electrical and technological installations of the registration stations, including computer equipment, biometric racquets and others; hiring of transportation and refreshments; rental of warehouses, tents, tables and chairs; security and communications; purchases of power plants, fire extinguishers, cafeteria and stationery; software operation; enrollment of people through the system; verification and control of the process; and quantitative and qualitative reports of the operation.
